Who am I? An artist, a romantic, and your yoga BFF!
If you asked me a few years ago, I would have told you my yoga practice began when I was 29 years old, living in Seattle, working in the city’s art scene. I walked by a new yoga studio in my neighborhood and marveled at the beautiful people floating out of the studio after a yoga class, totally blissed out. I thought, “I’ll have what they’re having!” I wanted that bliss! So I signed up for my first class right then and there.
I fell in love with the asanas, the physical practice, immediately. I felt like I was sweating out all the emotion I was holding in. Then I experienced the fullness of my breath, pranayama. And then the quiet beauty of meditation, dhyana.
But now I believe my practice actually started much earlier than that.
My practice began in my high school art class during a figure drawing assignment. As I flipped through some magazines to find my subjects I was drawn to a powerful photo spread of people practicing the warrior poses.
Virabhadrasana II and Utthita Parsvakonasana became the inspiration for my project. In a cool example of synchronicity, my teenaged self titled the piece, “Sun People”. That was when I got curious about yoga and even tried some of the poses from the magazine in my room by myself. I believe that my inner guru was at work.
Let’s experience all eight limbs of ashtanga and grow in appreciation of the practice of yoga and its roots - see you on the mat :)

Rosie tuned into how I was feeling after our brief consultation and WOW the one-on-one yoga class she created for me was just what I needed. I felt so much love for myself through the movements and Rosie really created a safe space for me, I was comfortable and felt taken care of.

“
I tried a yin yoga class with Rosie and she was so encouraging throughout. I felt empowered to “find my edge” and listen to my body. One of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a while after class too!
